General Guidelines and Rules of The Mommy Life

Members are required to attend a minimum of 1 event a month
Members must stay active on our boards, anyone who is inactive for over 30 days will be removed.
Do not speak about anyone in a negative matter (if there is a problem, contact an organizer)
Membership fees are due within 30 days of joining. Membership fees are $10.00 a year
Members must also have a photo of themselves uploaded in order to be approved.
New Members must attend an event within 2 weeks of joining
Members with 3 or more "No Shows" are subject to removal from the group.
Drama of any kind will not be tolerated and may result in being removed.

What does your $10 annual membership get you?

Some people may wonder what your $10 annual membership gets you. First it gets you a great support group, we have a bunch of mommies and someone is always there to talk to when you need it, whether it's someone to lean on or you want to know an answer to a question. Next we have an array of activities for you to choose from, whether privately planned by us or just information about what's going on in the Hudson Valley. We also provide monthly craft events, weekly playdates, monthly family dinners and most importantly entertainment for yourself and your children. Putting smiles on everyone's face is the most important thing to us as organizers.

The Mommy Life Membership Information

All members must have a photo of themselves uploaded to their profile before they are approved as a member. New members are required to attend an event within 2 weeks of registering. This is for identification purposes and is required in order to be a member of The Mommy Life.

Attendance Policy

We prefer quality over quantity. So we want our members to be involved in the group, and be active on the message boards. We appreciate and understand women who lead busy lives. Many of us are moms with jobs, more than one child, belong to more than one group, etc. Members of our group are required to come to at least one event a month. We have plenty of events each week, and if a member cannot make one of the those, we will gladly accept suggestions to accommodate them. However, if you feel that you may not be able to attend an event once a month, this group may not be for you.

Events and No Show Policies

When RSVPing yes to an event, our members are asked to please treat it as you would an appointment. You wouldn't miss a Dr. appointment. Please treat our events the same way.

We believe respect is a very important thing so any member who has 3 or more NO SHOWS will be removed from our group. While people may not realize it, cancelling last minute is the same as a NO SHOW to the host, since most of the time the host is busy preparing for guests they can't tell if someone cancels last minute so anyone who changes their RSVP within 2 hours of an event is also subject to the NO SHOW policy.

We understand that sometimes our policies cannot be met for excusable reasons. If a problem arises where someone cannot meet a policy, we asked that they contact an organizer to explain the situation.

While some of our rules and policies may seem tough, we feel it's very important to protect our children, from lurkers and potential harm. For safety, this site is only available to be viewed by members. Prior to joining, as a precautionary measure, members will complete a profile which will be reviewed.
